Instructions
1. Prepare the Bunny Head: On your large serving platter or cutting board, spread the hummus in a large, rounded oval shape to form the main body of the bunny’s head. Aim for a generous, smooth layer.
2. Form the Bunny Ears: Use a spoon or a small offset spatula to extend two long, slightly curved shapes from the top of the hummus head, creating the bunny’s ears. You can make them as tall or as wide as you like, ensuring they are distinct.
3. Create the Bunny Cheeks: On either side of the lower part of the hummus head, place two small dollops of ranch dip. These will serve as the puffy cheeks of the bunny.
4. Add the Bunny Nose and Mouth: Place a small amount of finely diced red bell pepper in the center of the hummus head, just above the ranch cheeks, to form the bunny’s nose. Use a few slices of black olive arranged in a small “V” or “W” shape below the nose to create the mouth.
5. Assemble the Bunny Eyes: Use two black olive slices for the eyes, placing them above the nose on the hummus head. You can add a tiny dot of ranch dip in the center of each olive slice for a highlight, if desired.
6. Arrange the Whiskers: Carefully place thin strips of cucumber (cut from the English cucumber) fanning out from the ranch cheeks to create the bunny’s whiskers. Three on each side usually look best.
7. Surround with Veggies: Artfully arrange the baby carrots, cherry tomato halves, snap peas, and broccoli florets around the bunny’s head. You can create distinct sections for each vegetable or mix them for a more colorful, garden-like effect. Ensure the veggies are easy to grab for dipping.
8. Add Finishing Touches: If desired, you can use a few extra cucumber slices or small pieces of bell pepper to add more detail or fill any empty spaces on the board, making it look lush and inviting.
