1. Trim and pound chicken breasts to 3/4 inch thickness
2. Whisk buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder and marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes
3. Set up three stations: seasoned flour, beaten egg, and panko crumbs
4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko and rest on a rack
5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 to 4 minutes
6. Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange chicken without overlapping
7. Air fry chicken at 375°F for 6 to 7 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F
8. Toast sandwich buns in air fryer or on skillet until lightly golden
9. Spread sauce on buns, then layer lettuce, tomato, pickles, and chicken
10. Top with the bun tops and serve immediately
