  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

    2. In a large bowl whisk together cake mix, eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth.

    3. Toss chopped apples with 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon dry cake mix in a separate bowl.

    4. Pour half the batter into the pan, top with half the apples, then repeat layers with remaining batter and apples.
