Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

Tender pork chops seared to golden perfection and coated in a sweet and tangy apple cider glaze, perfect for a cozy fall dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional pinch of cayenne or cinnamon

  • Instructions

    1. Optional marinade: combine apple cider, olive oil, vinegar, and thyme and marinate chops for 1 to 8 hours

    2. Pat chops dry and season with salt and pepper

    3. Heat skillet over medium-high heat and sear chops for 3 to 4 minutes per side

    4. Simmer apple cider, mustard, maple syrup, and vinegar in a saucepan until thickened, about 8 to 10 minutes

    5. Brush chops with glaze and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, basting frequently

    6. Transfer chops to a plate and rest for 5 minutes

    7. Brush with additional warm glaze before serving
