  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Caramel or maple syrup, for drizzle (optional)
  • 1/4 cup apple juice or water, for baking

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

    2. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.

    3. Core each apple, creating a cavity two-thirds deep without piercing the bottom.

    4. Trim the top edges of the apples for even openings.

    5. In a bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and salt; stir to blend.
