Description
A cozy fall appetizer featuring a sourdough loaf hollowed and filled with melted brie, fresh figs, crushed pistachios, and honey. Perfect for gatherings and easy to customize.

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Slice off the top crust of the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a 1 inch rim.
3. Place the brie wheel in the hollowed loaf and score the top in a crisscross pattern.
4. Arrange fig slices over and around the brie, then sprinkle crushed pistachios on top.
5. Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the figs and nuts.
6. Brush the exposed bread edges with olive oil and scatter chopped thyme or rosemary and a pinch of sea salt.
7. Bake on the prepared sheet for 15–20 minutes until the brie is soft and bubbling and the crust is golden.
8. If desired, broil for 1–2 minutes for extra color, watching closely to prevent burning.
9. Let rest 5 minutes before serving, then drizzle additional honey and scatter extra pistachios if desired.
