3. In a large bowl whisk together eggnog, eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
4. Pour custard mixture over bread cubes, pressing gently to ensure even soaking, then drizzle melted butter on top.
5. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight, or let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes if baking same day.
6. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden and the custard is set, then let rest 10 minutes before serving.
