  • 1 pack ramen noodles (discard flavor packet)
  • 1 cup canned chicken, drained and shredded
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or water + bouillon)
  • 12 tablespoons soy sauce, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Optional toppings: chili flakes, sesame oil, spinach, mushrooms, carrots

  • Instructions

    1. Bring chicken broth to a boil in a medium saucepan.

    2. Add ramen noodles and cook 3–4 minutes until tender.

    3. Stir in garlic, ginger, and soy sauce to build flavor.

    4. Add drained canned chicken and warm through for 2 minutes.

    5. Optional: crack an egg into the broth to poach or stir in for an egg-drop style.

    6. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl.
