Description
A fun, kid-friendly Halloween snack: hot dogs wrapped in crescent dough “bandages,” baked until golden and finished with mustard eyes.
Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough sheet (or crescent rolls)
8 hot dogs
4 slices cheddar, cut into thin strips (optional)
1 tablespoon yellow mustard (for eyes and dipping)
1 tablespoon ketchup (optional, for dipping)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Unroll the crescent dough; if using rolls, press perforations to seal. Cut into thin (1/4-inch) strips.
3. Wrap dough strips around each hot dog to resemble mummy bandages, leaving a small gap for the face.
4. If using cheese, tuck a few thin strips under some bandages for melty pockets.
5. Place on the baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes, until puffed and golden.
6. Cool 2 minutes, then dot mustard onto the face gaps for eyes. Serve warm with mustard and ketchup.
