Description
Playful, kid-friendly Halloween appetizers made by wrapping hot dogs in crescent dough and baking until golden, then adding spooky “eyes.”
Ingredients
12 hot dogs
2 (8-oz/226 g) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough or dough sheet
1 large egg, beaten (optional, for shine)
Yellow mustard or ketchup, for eyes
Candy eyes (optional)
Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly grease.
2. Pat hot dogs dry. Unroll dough and cut into thin strips (about 1/4 inch/6 mm).
3. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap near one end for the eyes; pinch ends to seal.
4. Brush lightly with beaten egg if using.
5. Bake 13–15 minutes, until dough is puffed and golden.
6. Dot on eyes with mustard or ketchup, or press on candy eyes using a dab as “glue.”
7. Serve warm with extra ketchup and mustard for dipping.
