Description

Sweet cranberry and creamy cheese wrapped in golden crescents make the ultimate Thanksgiving appetizer, perfect for fall potlucks and holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water for egg wash

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

    2. In a bowl beat cream cheese powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth

    3. Stir in orange zest if using

    4. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles and roll slightly if desired

    5. Place 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture and 1/2 teaspoon cranberry sauce on each triangle

    6. Fold corners to seal filling and shape into bites

    7. Brush bites with egg wash

    8. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden brown

    9. Let cool on a rack for 5 minutes and serve warm
