Ingredients

3 boxes (3 oz each) flavored gelatin, lime or cherry

3 cups boiling water

1 1/2 cups cold water

1 1/2 cups vodka (or clear rum; use juice for non-alcoholic)

24 gummy or candy eyeballs

Food coloring, optional

Whipped cream, grenadine, or red gel icing for garnish, optional

Instructions

1. Line a rimmed tray with 24 clear 2 oz plastic shot cups.

2. Whisk gelatin with boiling water in a bowl until fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.

3. Stir in cold water and vodka (swap vodka for juice for a non-alcoholic version).

4. Add a drop or two of food coloring to intensify the spooky hue, if desired.

5. Fill each cup 2/3 to 3/4 full with the gelatin mixture.
