Golden, crispy sourdough garlic breadsticks made with starter discard—perfect as a quick snack, appetizer, or for selling from home.

Instructions
1. In a bowl combine sourdough starter discard, flour, sugar, salt, softened butter, and yeast; stir until just combined.
2. Transfer to a floured surface and knead gently for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth.
3. Form dough into a ball, place in a bowl, cover, and rest for 30 to 45 minutes at room temperature.
4. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into 1/2 inch by 8 inch strips.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
6. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, and salt; brush half over each breadstick.
7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown at the edges.
8. Remove from oven and brush with remaining garlic butter; sprinkle with parsley or Parmesan if desired.
9. Transfer to a cooling rack to crisp before serving or storing.
