Easy decorated donuts topped with apple slice candies, sprinkles, and a festive drizzle—perfect for fall parties, birthdays, and Halloween treat tables.
Ingredients
12 plain or glazed yeast donuts
1 1/2 cups vanilla or cream cheese frosting
Gel food coloring (orange, yellow, brown), optional
1 cup apple slice gummy candies
1/3 cup fall-colored sprinkles
2 tablespoons caramel sauce or melted white chocolate, optional
2 tablespoons crushed roasted peanuts or graham cracker crumbs, optional
Instructions
1. Arrange donuts on a parchment-lined tray and let them come to room temperature.
2. Tint frosting with gel colors if desired; stir until evenly blended.
3. Spread or pipe a generous layer of frosting onto each donut.
4. Press 1–2 apple slice gummy candies into the center of each frosted donut.
5. Scatter sprinkles over the frosting while it is still soft.
6. Drizzle with caramel or melted white chocolate, if using.
7. Finish with a pinch of crushed nuts or graham crumbs for texture, if desired.
8. Let set at room temperature for 15–20 minutes, then serve or store airtight up to 1 day.
