Description
Spooky, savory breadsticks shaped like witch fingers with almond nails—an easy 30-minute Halloween party snack that’s creepy, fun, and delicious.
Ingredients
1 lb refrigerated pizza or breadstick dough
20 whole unblanched almonds (for fingernails)
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Red food gel or ketchup, for the “bloody” finish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into 20 equal pieces.
3. Roll each piece into a 4–5 inch log; pinch in two spots to form knuckles and score shallow lines with a knife for wrinkles.
4. Press a whole almond firmly into one end of each log to create the fingernail.
5. Arrange on the prepared sheet; brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
6. Sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and Parmesan if using.
7. Bake 12–15 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
8. Cool 3 minutes, then add small dabs of red gel or ketchup around the nails or ends for a spooky effect.
9. Serve warm on a dark platter or in a small cauldron for maximum creepiness.
