Description
A fun, kid-approved Halloween snack: hot dogs wrapped in crescent dough like mummies, baked golden and dotted with ketchup or mustard “eyes.” Perfect for parties and movie nights.
Ingredients
12 hot dogs
2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 slices cheddar cheese, cut into thin strips (optional)
1 egg beaten with 1 tsp water for egg wash (optional)
Ketchup and/or yellow mustard for eyes
Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment and lightly spray.
2. Unroll crescent dough and press seams to seal. Cut into 1/4-inch strips.
3. Pat hot dogs dry. If using cheese, wrap a thin strip around each hot dog first.
4. Wrap dough strips around hot dogs, leaving a small gap for the face. Tuck ends under.
5. Brush lightly with egg wash if desired.
6. Bake 12–15 minutes until dough is golden and hot dogs are heated through.
7. Cool 2 minutes, then dot ketchup or mustard in the gap to make eyes.
8. Serve warm with extra ketchup, mustard, or dipping sauces.
