1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat
2. Add onion and bell pepper and sauté 5 minutes until softened
3. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds
4. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper and cook 5–7 minutes until no longer pink
5. Sprinkle chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika and stir 1 minute
6. Add pumpkin purée, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth and bring to a simmer
7. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
8. Stir in beans and corn and cook 10 more minutes
9. Adjust seasoning and stir in lime juice
10. Ladle into bowls and serve with desired toppings
