Mummy Hot Dogs with Spider Web Cheese Dip

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 mummy hot dogs 1x

Description

Kid-friendly Halloween snack of crescent-wrapped hot dogs baked until golden, served with a quick queso dip decorated like a spider web.

Ingredients

Scale

12 mini hot dogs (or 6 regular hot dogs, halved)

1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 large egg, beaten (optional, for shine)

2 tablespoons yellow mustard or ketchup (for eyes)

1 cup jarred queso dip, warmed

2 tablespoons sour cream (for spider web)

Cooking spray or parchment, for pan

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly spray.

2. Unroll crescent dough and press seams; cut into thin strips about 1/4 inch wide.

3. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap for the eyes; tuck ends underneath.

4. Brush with beaten egg if using and place on the prepared sheet.

5. Bake 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden; cool 2 minutes.

6. Warm queso in a shallow bowl. Pipe concentric sour cream rings, then drag a toothpick from center outward to create a spider web.

7. Dot mustard or ketchup in the face gap to make eyes. Serve mummies warm with the spider web dip.
