Description
A family-friendly Halloween dinner: juicy spider-themed burgers with crispy fries for legs, simple garnishes for eyes, and easy tips to make the plate party-ready.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20) or ground turkey
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp oil (for skillet or grill pan)
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar cheese
12 oz frozen shoestring fries (or air-fryer fries)
8 olive slices or small pickle rounds (for eyes)
Ketchup and mustard, for decorating
Lettuce and tomato, optional
Instructions
1. Cook fries per package directions (oven or air fryer) until crisp; keep warm.
2. Mix beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; form 4 equal patties slightly wider than the buns.
3. Heat oil in a skillet or preheat grill; cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until browned and 160°F internal.
4. Top each patty with a cheese slice to melt; lightly toast buns.
5. Place patty on bottom bun; tuck 3–4 long fries under each side to form spider “legs.”
6. Add olive or pickle rounds as “eyes,” securing with tiny dots of ketchup or mustard.
7. Add lettuce and tomato if using; cap with top bun and press gently so the fries stay put.
8. Serve with remaining fries; decorate plates with ketchup “webs” for a festive look.
