A playful Halloween dinner featuring spider-shaped burgers with olive eyes, pretzel-stick legs, and a web of crispy fries. Fun, festive, and easy to customize for parties or weeknight spooky suppers.
Ingredients
4 beef burger patties (4–5 oz each) or plant-based patties
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar or American cheese (optional)
8 black olive halves (for eyes)
32 thin pretzel sticks (legs)
4 lettuce leaves
4 tomato slices
1 lb frozen French fries
1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce
2 tbsp mayo or cream cheese (to stick eyes)
1 tbsp oil or butter
Salt and pepper
Instructions
1. Cook fries per package directions (oven or air fryer) until crisp; keep warm.
2. Season patties with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high with oil.
3. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side to desired doneness; add cheese in the last minute to melt.
4. Split and lightly toast buns.
5. Assemble: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, condiments as desired, patty, then top bun.
6. Make eyes: dab mayo or cream cheese on the top bun and press on two olive halves.
7. Add legs: insert 4 pretzel sticks into each side of the bun (8 total). Use picks if transporting.
8. Plate: arrange fries like a web, drizzle ketchup or BBQ in a spiral, and set the burger in the center.
9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
