  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 spider burgers (serves 4) 1x

Description

A playful Halloween dinner featuring spider-shaped burgers with olive eyes, pretzel-stick legs, and a web of crispy fries. Fun, festive, and easy to customize for parties or weeknight spooky suppers.

Ingredients

Scale

4 beef burger patties (45 oz each) or plant-based patties

4 burger buns

4 slices cheddar or American cheese (optional)

8 black olive halves (for eyes)

32 thin pretzel sticks (legs)

4 lettuce leaves

4 tomato slices

1 lb frozen French fries

1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce

2 tbsp mayo or cream cheese (to stick eyes)

1 tbsp oil or butter

Salt and pepper

Instructions

1. Cook fries per package directions (oven or air fryer) until crisp; keep warm.

2. Season patties with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high with oil.

3. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side to desired doneness; add cheese in the last minute to melt.

4. Split and lightly toast buns.

5. Assemble: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, condiments as desired, patty, then top bun.

6. Make eyes: dab mayo or cream cheese on the top bun and press on two olive halves.

7. Add legs: insert 4 pretzel sticks into each side of the bun (8 total). Use picks if transporting.

8. Plate: arrange fries like a web, drizzle ketchup or BBQ in a spiral, and set the burger in the center.

9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
