Halloween Jello Shot Eyeballs

  • Total Time: 3 hours 25 minutes
  • Yield: 16 jello shots (1 oz each) 1x

Description

Spooky, party-perfect jello shots with candy pupils that look like eyeballs. Make them boozy with vodka or kid-friendly with juice.

Ingredients

Scale

1 (3 oz) box flavored gelatin (lime, cherry, or berry)

1 packet unflavored gelatin (1/4 oz)

1 cup boiling water

1 cup cold vodka (or cold juice/soda for non-alcoholic)

23 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (optional, for opaque eyes)

16 candy eyeballs or round candies

Red gel food coloring or edible marker

Nonstick spray or neutral oil

Silicone sphere mold, ice cube tray, or 1-oz cups

Gummy worms or crushed ice, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. Lightly grease molds or set 16 one-ounce cups on a tray.

2. Whisk flavored gelatin and unflavored gelatin together in a heatproof bowl.

3. Pour in boiling water; whisk until fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.

4. Stir in cold vodka (or equal cold juice/soda) to cool the mixture.

5. For an opaque eye effect, whisk in condensed milk until smooth.

6. Fill molds halfway; chill 25–30 minutes until jiggly but not fully set.

7. Press one candy eyeball into each cavity; top with remaining gelatin.

8. Chill until firm, 3–4 hours or overnight for the cleanest release.

9. Unmold or uncover; add thin red streaks with gel or marker for veins.

10. Serve cold on crushed ice with gummy worms; keep refrigerated until serving.
