Ingredients
12 plain donuts (glazed or cake; store-bought or homemade)
1 cup vanilla frosting
1 cup chocolate frosting (optional)
1 cup apple candy slices
1–2 cups assorted candies (candy corn, mini chocolates, gummy worms, candy eyes)
1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles
White icing in piping bag or squeeze bottle (for webs, optional)
Green icing gel (optional)
2 tbsp melted chocolate or chocolate syrup (optional drizzle)
Parchment paper or silicone mat
Small bowls for toppings
Butter knife or offset spatula
Instructions
1. Line a sheet tray with parchment and set out bowls for each topping.
2. If donuts are heavily glazed, pat the tops dry so frosting adheres.
3. Spread a thin, even layer of vanilla or chocolate frosting on each donut.
4. Press on apple candy slices to anchor the first layer of toppings.
5. Add sprinkles and assorted candies, gently pressing so they stick.
6. Pipe white icing into webs, dots, or lines; add candy eyes for monsters.
7. Drizzle lightly with melted chocolate; tap the tray to settle toppings.
8. Let set 10–15 minutes until frosting firms, then transfer to a platter.
9. Serve at room temperature; store loosely covered up to 24 hours.
