Description

Turn dinner into a spooky celebration with spider-shaped burgers and creepy crawly baked fries—simple, playful, and kid-approved.

Ingredients

Scale

4 burger buns (or slider buns)

1 lb ground beef (or turkey/veggie patties)

4 slices cheddar or American cheese

1624 pretzel sticks (for spider legs)

8 olive slices (for eyes)

23 tbsp ketchup (plus more to serve)

1 tbsp mustard or mayo (optional)

4 lettuce leaves

1 tomato, sliced

23 medium potatoes or sweet potatoes

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)

Pickles, for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Cut potatoes into sticks or fun shapes; toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika/garlic powder.

3. Bake fries 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden; or air-fry 15–18 minutes.

4. Season beef with a pinch of salt and pepper; form four 4-oz patties.

5. Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness.

6. Top hot patties with cheese to melt; rest 2 minutes.

7. Lightly toast buns; add lettuce and tomato if using.

8. Place patty on bun; add ketchup or mayo to taste.

9. Insert 4 pretzel sticks into each side of the burger for legs; attach two olive slices on top bun with a dab of ketchup for eyes.

10. Plate burgers with fries arranged like creepy crawlers and serve. Remind kids to remove pretzel legs before big bites.
