Garlic Butter Pan-Seared Pork Chops (20 Minutes)

Description

Juicy pork chops seared in a skillet, basted with garlic-herb butter, and ready in 20 minutes for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

4 pork chops, 1-inch thick (bone-in or boneless), about 2 lb

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, smashed

4 sprigs fresh thyme or 1 sprig rosemary

1 tsp lemon juice or 2 lemon wedges (optional)

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Pat chops dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let stand 5 minutes.

2. Heat a cast-iron or heavy skillet over medium-high until hot. Add olive oil.

3. Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until deep golden.

4. Add butter, smashed garlic, and herbs to the pan. Tilt and baste chops 60–90 seconds.

5. Cook to an internal temp of 145°F. Transfer to a plate and rest 5 minutes.

6. Finish with lemon juice and parsley. Spoon pan juices over and serve.
