A spooky, kid-friendly Halloween appetizer: crescent-wrapped hot dogs baked golden with mustard eyes—fast, fun, and perfect for a party table.
Ingredients
12 beef hot dogs
1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent dough or dough sheet
1 large egg, beaten with 1 tbsp water (optional egg wash)
2 tbsp yellow mustard or ketchup (for eyes)
1/4 tsp black sesame seeds (optional for pupils)
Dipping sauces: ketchup, mustard, cheese sauce (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Unroll dough; press seams if using crescents; cut into 1/4-inch strips.
3. Pat hot dogs dry; wrap with dough strips, leaving a small face gap.
4. Brush lightly with egg wash if using; place on the baking sheet.
5. Bake 13–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
6. Dot mustard or ketchup in the face gap for eyes; add sesame seeds; serve warm with dips.
