Ingredients
12 plain or glazed yeast donuts
1 cup apple slice gummy candies (green sour or red cinnamon)
1 cup vanilla or cream cheese icing
1–2 teaspoons gel food coloring (orange, black, or green), optional
2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles or edible glitter, optional
2 tablespoons melted chocolate or candy melts for drizzle, optional
Instructions
1. Set donuts on a parchment-lined tray so decorating and cleanup are easy.
2. If tinting, stir gel food coloring into the icing until your desired Halloween shade is reached.
3. Spread a thin, even layer of icing over each donut top to act as the adhesive.
4. Press apple slice candies into the icing, arranging as a ring, fanned “teeth,” or in spiral patterns.
5. Add sprinkles or a light drizzle of melted chocolate/candy melts for extra color and texture.
6. Let donuts rest at room temperature 15–20 minutes so icing sets and candies adhere.
