Ingredients
12 standard hot dogs
2 (8 oz/226 g) tubes refrigerated crescent dough or dough sheet
1 large egg, beaten (optional, for gloss)
1 tbsp water (for egg wash, optional)
Mustard or ketchup, for eyes
1 tbsp sesame or poppy seeds (optional)
Nonstick spray or parchment, for the pan

3. Pat hot dogs dry. Wrap each with dough strips, leaving a small gap for eyes.
4. Whisk egg with water; brush mummies lightly (optional). Sprinkle seeds if using.
5. Bake 13–15 minutes until puffed and deep golden.
6. Cool 2 minutes. Dot the eye gaps with mustard or ketchup to make faces.
