Creepy, no-cook Halloween bites: salami-wrapped mozzarella topped with olive pupils and spicy veins; fast to assemble and perfect for party platters.
Ingredients
20 thin salami slices
20 mini mozzarella balls (ciliegine or bocconcini)
10 pitted black olives, sliced into rings
2 tbsp hot sauce or ketchup
1 tbsp mayonnaise or softened cream cheese
20 toothpicks
Parsley or baby spinach, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Slice olives into thin rings; pat mozzarella dry.
2. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a salami slice; secure with a toothpick.
3. Dab a little mayo or cream cheese on top; press on an olive ring for the pupil.
4. Drizzle or streak hot sauce or ketchup to create bloodshot veins.
5. Chill 10 minutes to set; arrange on a platter with greens and serve.
