Mummy Hot Dogs (Halloween Pigs-in-a-Blanket)

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings (16 mummies) 1x

Description

A spooky-cute Halloween party finger food: hot dogs wrapped in crescent dough like little mummies, finished with mustard eyes. Easy, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for a themed birthday spread.

Ingredients

Scale

16 hot dogs

2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (optional, for egg wash)

Yellow mustard or ketchup, for eyes

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Unroll crescent dough and press seams; cut into thin strips (about 1/4 inch).

3. Pat hot dogs dry; wrap each with dough strips, leaving a small gap for the face.

4. Brush with egg wash if using for a glossy finish.

5. Bake 12–15 minutes until the dough is puffed and golden.

6. Cool 2 minutes, then dot tiny mustard or ketchup “eyes” in the face gap.

7. Serve warm with extra ketchup and mustard for dipping.
