Description
Golden-seared pork chops finished in a garlic-butter pan sauce with parsley. A simple, restaurant-style skillet method ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
4 pork chops (1-inch thick, bone-in or boneless)
1.5 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat pork chops dry; season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high; add olive oil until shimmering.
3. Sear chops 3–4 minutes on the first side until deeply golden.
4. Flip and sear 2–3 minutes more; reduce heat to medium.
5. Add butter and garlic; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
6. Pour in chicken broth, scraping browned bits to deglaze.
7. Simmer and baste chops with sauce until they reach 145°F, 2–4 minutes.
8. Transfer to a plate; rest 3–5 minutes.
9. Stir parsley (and thyme, if using) into the pan sauce.
10. Spoon sauce over chops and serve immediately.
