Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1 medium orange, peeled and sectioned
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup probiotic yogurt or kefir
  • 3/4 cup water or unsweetened almond milk
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

  • Instructions

    1. Rinse spinach and parsley under cold water and remove any tough stems

    2. Peel and section the orange and lemon, peel the ginger

    3. Add water or almond milk to the blender first

    4. Add yogurt or kefir, followed by spinach, parsley, banana, orange, lemon juice, and ginger

    5. Blend on medium-high speed until smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds

    6. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang with banana, honey, or lemon juice if desired

    7. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately
