Description
A colorful, no-cook Halloween snack board with sweet and savory bites kids love, assembled in minutes with fun spooky shapes.
Ingredients
8 oz cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
8 string cheese sticks
1 cup mini crackers
2 cups pretzel twists
2 cups seedless grapes
3 clementines, peeled, celery pieces for stems
2 apples, sliced, tossed with lemon
1 cup baby carrots
1 cucumber, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced into jack-o’-lantern strips
3 cups popcorn
12 mini cookies or brownie bites
1/2 cup chocolate candies or chips
1/2 cup candy corn (optional)
1/2 cup hummus and/or ranch dip
Edible candy eyes; mini cookie cutters; parchment; large board
Instructions
1. Prep produce and cheese; use mini cutters to make bats, pumpkins, or ghosts from cheese and cucumber.
2. Line a large board or sheet pan with parchment; place small bowls for dips and any loose candies.
3. Anchor the board with larger items: cheese cubes, string cheese, dip bowls, and clementine pumpkins with celery stems.
4. Fan apples and cucumbers around anchors; cluster carrots, grapes, crackers, pretzels, and popcorn in small piles.
5. Add sweet elements in modest clusters: mini cookies, chocolate candies, and optional candy corn for pops of color.
6. Decorate: press edible eyes onto grapes or cookies; arrange bell pepper strips like jack-o’-lantern smiles.
7. Balance colors and textures across the board; keep allergy-friendly items grouped and clearly labeled.
8. Serve at once, or cover and chill up to 2 hours; add popcorn and crackers just before serving to keep crisp.
