Description
Creepy-cute spider burgers with fry legs and olive eyes make a fast, playful Halloween dinner kids love.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar or American cheese
2 string cheeses, sliced into 8 small rounds
8 pitted black olive halves (for pupils)
24–32 fries for legs, plus extra for serving
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp mayonnaise
Optional: lettuce leaves and pickle chips
Instructions
1. Bake fries per package directions until crisp; keep warm.
2. Form 4 equal patties from the meat and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Cook patties in a skillet or on a grill over medium heat, 4–5 minutes per side, until done.
4. Top each patty with cheese during the last minute to melt; lightly toast buns.
5. Spread ketchup, mustard, or mayo on buns and place a patty on each bottom bun.
6. Tuck 3–4 fries into each side of the patty as spider legs; cap with the top bun.
7. Make eyes: press two string-cheese rounds onto the top bun with a dab of mayo, then add olive pieces as pupils.
8. Plate with extra fries and optional lettuce/pickles; serve immediately while warm.
