Description
A neon-purple, witchy Halloween cocktail that blends vodka, blue curaçao, cranberry, and lime with a fizzy finish. Dress it up with a black sugar rim, edible glitter, and optional dry ice for a smoky cauldron effect. Easy mocktail swap included.
Ingredients
2 oz vodka (or 2 oz grape juice for mocktail)
1 oz blue curaçao (or 1 oz berry sports drink for mocktail)
2 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
2–3 oz lemon-lime soda or tonic water, chilled
Ice
Lime wedge, for rim
2 tsp black sanding sugar, for rim
4–5 fresh blackberries or blueberries, for garnish
Pinch edible glitter (optional)
1 small food-safe dry ice pellet, handled with tongs (optional; do not ingest)
Instructions
1. Rim the glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim, then dip into black sanding sugar to coat.
2. Shake: In a shaker with ice, add vodka (or grape juice), blue curaçao (or berry drink), cranberry juice, and lime juice; shake 15 seconds.
3. Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with lemon-lime soda or tonic water.
4. Garnish with berries and a pinch of edible glitter.
5. For smoky effect, using tongs, carefully add a tiny food-safe dry ice pellet; serve immediately and do not swallow the pellet.
6. Batch (10): Multiply the first five ingredients by 10 in a chilled pitcher, pour over ice, top each glass with soda, and garnish.
