Halloween Eyeball Jello Shots

  • Total Time: 3 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 16 shots 1x

Description

Spooky, party-perfect Jello shots topped with floating candy eyeballs. Easy to make ahead, customizable with flavors and kid-friendly non-alcoholic swaps.

Ingredients

Scale

1 box (3 oz) flavored gelatin (red, lime, orange, or black cherry)

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup vodka (or rum/tequila; use juice for non-alcoholic)

1/2 cup cold water (or fruit juice for non-alcoholic)

1620 candy eyeballs or gummy eyeball candies

12 drops food coloring (optional, for extra eerie color)

Nonstick spray or light oil for tray (optional, to prevent cup sticking)

Whipped cream or edible glitter (optional, for serving)

Instructions

1. Arrange 2 oz clear plastic shot cups on a rimmed tray; clear a flat refrigerator shelf.

2. In a heat-safe bowl, whisk gelatin with 1 cup boiling water until completely dissolved (about 2 minutes).

3. Stir in 1/2 cup vodka and 1/2 cup cold water (use 1 cup juice total for non-alcoholic); add food coloring if desired.

4. Carefully pour mixture into cups, filling each about 3/4 full to leave room for toppings.

5. Chill 75–90 minutes until shots are slightly jiggly but not fully set (they should hold an impression).

6. Place one candy eyeball on each shot; use a toothpick or tweezers to center and angle for a floating look.

7. Return to fridge and chill 60–90 minutes more, until fully firm.

8. Serve cold on a spooky tray; garnish with a tiny dot of food coloring, edible glitter, or a small whipped cream swirl if desired.
