  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 46 drops red food coloring
  • 1/4 tsp vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • Instructions

    1. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a microwave-safe mug and stir until fully mixed.

    2. Add the milk, oil, vanilla extract, food coloring, and vinegar and whisk until the batter is smooth and vibrant red.

    3. Adjust the food coloring if you prefer a deeper hue and mix gently.

    4. Place the mug in the center of the microwave and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes based on your microwave wattage.
