Ingredients

Scale

1 1/2 lb ground beef (80/20)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

4 burger buns (plus 1 extra bun for legs, or use pretzel sticks)

4 slices cheddar cheese

1 cup lettuce leaves

1 tomato, thinly sliced

812 large black olive slices (for eyes)

2 tbsp ketchup, plus more for serving

2 tbsp mustard, plus more for serving

1 lb frozen waffle or curly fries

12 tbsp neutral oil (for skillet)

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread fries on a sheet pan and bake per package until crisp.

2. Combine beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.

3. Divide into 4 patties slightly wider than the buns.

4. Heat a skillet over medium-high; add a thin film of oil.

5. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side to desired doneness.

6. Top each patty with cheddar during the last minute to melt.

7. Lightly toast the 4 burger buns. Slice the extra bun into 8 thin curved strips for “legs” or use pretzel sticks.

8. Layer bottom buns with lettuce and tomato; add cheesy patties.

9. Tuck 4 “legs” on each side of the patty (8 total). Cap with top buns.

10. Dot mustard or mayo on top buns and stick on olive slices as “eyes”; add ketchup or mustard for fangs.

11. Arrange baked fries around burgers like webs; serve with ketchup and mustard dips.
