4. Place soaked slices in skillet and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden
5. Sprinkle chopped pecans into the skillet to toast and adhere to the bread
6. Transfer cooked slices to a warm oven at 200°F on a wire rack
7. Repeat with remaining butter custard and bread slices
