Sourdough Crackers Charcuterie Trio – Rustic Recipe Using Sourdough Starter

Description

Crispy rustic sourdough crackers made from leftover starter, paired with three charcuterie combinations for an easy snack board.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unfed sourdough starter (100% hydration)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon water (optional)
  • herbs or spices (optional)
  • flaky salt for topping

  • Instructions

    1. In a bowl combine sourdough starter, flour, olive oil, and salt and stir into a rough dough

    2. Let the dough rest for 20–30 minutes to hydrate

    3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

    4. Divide dough in half and roll each between parchment paper to about 1/16 inch thickness

    5. Remove top parchment, score into shapes, and sprinkle with flaky salt and herbs

    6. Bake on a sheet for 18–22 minutes until edges are light golden

    7. Cool completely on a rack to crisp up and store in an airtight container
