  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

    2. Toss apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch in a bowl until evenly coated, then spread in the prepared dish.

    3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.

    4. Add cold diced butter to the oat mixture and blend with a pastry cutter or fork until crumbly with pea-sized bits.

    5. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the fruit without pressing down.

    6. Bake on the middle rack for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling, then let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
