Description
A playful Halloween burger with fries for legs and olive eyes, assembled on a rustic cutting board; savory, kid-friendly, and easily customizable.
Ingredients
4 burger buns (brioche or sesame)
1 lb ground beef (80/20) or 4 pre-formed 4 oz patties
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp neutral oil for skillet
4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
2 cups thin fries, cooked crisp (for legs)
8 olive slices or halves (for eyes)
4 tsp mayonnaise (to stick eyes)
4 tbsp ketchup and/or mustard
Lettuce, tomato slices, pickles (optional)
Toothpicks (optional, for securing legs)
Instructions
1. Cook fries until crisp in oven or air fryer; keep warm.
2. Form 4 patties if using ground beef; season both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high; cook patties 3–4 minutes per side to desired doneness.
4. Top with cheese to melt during the last 30 seconds; lightly toast buns.
5. Spread condiments on bottom buns; add lettuce/tomato if using, then place patties on top.
6. Tuck 3–4 fries per side under each patty to form 6–8 spider legs; use toothpicks if needed.
7. Dab mayo on top buns and attach olive pieces as eyes; add ketchup “fangs” if desired.
8. Cap burgers, arrange on a wooden cutting board, and serve with extra fries.
