2. Add milk, heavy cream, white chocolate chips, and salt to the cooker and whisk gently.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 2½ hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
4. Once the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth, stir in vanilla extract.
5. Just before serving, whisk in peppermint schnapps to preserve its flavor.
6. Ladle into mugs, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle crushed candy canes.
7. Keep on WARM setting and stir occasionally to maintain texture.
