This spooky red velvet popcorn is the perfect sweet and crunchy Halloween treat. Made with red velvet cake mix, white chocolate, and fun candy toppings, it’s festive, quick to make, and totally addictive — ideal for parties, trick-or-treat nights, or scary movie marathons.
Ingredients
8 cups plain popped popcorn (air-popped or stove-popped)
1 cup white chocolate chips (or white melting wafers)
⅓ cup red velvet cake mix
1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Halloween sprinkles, candy eyes, or edible glitter (optional)
Instructions
1. Place popcorn in a large mixing bowl and remove any unpopped kernels.
2. Melt white chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
3. Stir in the red velvet cake mix until fully combined and pink-red in color.
4. Pour the mixture over popcorn and toss until evenly coated.
5. Spread coated popcorn on a parchment-lined tray to cool.
6. While still tacky, sprinkle with Halloween toppings: candy eyes, sprinkles, or glitter.
7. Let cool and harden for 10–15 minutes before serving or storing.
