Description
Spooky, crowd-pleasing Jello shots with floating candy eyeballs. Easy to make ahead, with alcoholic or kid-friendly variations.
Ingredients
1 (3 oz) box flavored gelatin (cherry, strawberry, lime, or grape)
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 to 1 cup vodka (or chilled juice/sparkling water for non-alcoholic)
20–24 edible candy eyeballs or gummy eyeballs
20–24 clear 2-oz plastic shot cups
Optional: red gel icing or food gel for bloodshot effect
Optional: gummy worms or spiders for garnish
Instructions
1. Dissolve gelatin in a heat-safe bowl with 1 cup boiling water, whisking until fully dissolved.
2. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water, then add 1/2 to 1 cup vodka (or equal amount of chilled juice) and mix well.
3. Arrange shot cups on a tray; fill each 2/3–3/4 full with the gelatin mixture.
4. Place one candy eyeball in the center of each cup; press slightly so it appears to float.
5. Refrigerate until set, 3–4 hours (overnight for best firmness).
6. For decoration, add red gel veins on top or tuck in a gummy worm beside the eyeball.
7. Keep covered until serving to prevent fridge odors; label alcoholic vs non-alcoholic trays.
8. Serve chilled on a spooky tray; keep cold until guests arrive.
