1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
2. If cooking fresh chicken, brush with oil, season with salt and pepper, then grill or pan-sear until cooked through. Let rest and dice.
3. Chop tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, and basil.
4. In a bowl or jar, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper until emulsified.
5. Combine cooled pasta, chicken, vegetables, and basil in a large bowl.
6. Pour dressing over salad and toss gently to coat.
7. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
8. Toss again before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
