Lydia Grace – Creative Baking Developer
Lydia never meant to become a baker — it just sort of happened.
SAs a child, she was the one mixing random ingredients in her mother’s kitchen “just to see what would happen.” Years later, that same curiosity became her creative superpower. She discovered sourdough as a blank canvas for imagination — a way to mix art, science, and a little bit of rebellion against baking rules.
When Olivia founded SourdoughLovers, Lydia was one of the first to join. Her knack for transforming leftovers into something beautiful aligned perfectly with the brand’s mission. Today, she’s known for her clever use of discard, her love for seasonal bakes, and her refusal to let good flour go to waste.

Why I Love Working with Discard
For Lydia, sourdough discard isn’t waste — it’s potential.
“Every jar of discard is a new opportunity to experiment,” she says with a grin.
She believes in creating recipes that are both sustainable and joyful — from savory muffins made with herbs to cookies that taste like cozy afternoons. Her approach to baking is grounded in creativity, not complexity.
Through her recipes, Lydia encourages home bakers to play, to experiment, and to let flavor lead the way.

Behind the Oven Door
When Lydia isn’t baking, she’s often at the farmer’s market, collecting inspiration from local produce. She loves the rhythm of baking with the seasons — berries in summer, pumpkin in fall, citrus in winter.
Her kitchen is never spotless, but it’s always alive with laughter, music, and the smell of something fresh from the oven.
